I received nine shades of the ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation to test. The foundation promises hydration, which is particularly interesting for my oily/combination skin. I'll be swatching all nine shades for you later in the review.

Along with the foundation, I'll also be trying out the ColourPop Pretty Fresh Priming Set Kit, which includes a hyaluronic hydrating primer, setting mist, and blending sponge. This will provide a complete look for this wear test.

Before applying any makeup, I started by moisturizing my lips with Milani Fruit Fetish lip balm in Blueberry Acai. I'll also be moisturizing my face before applying the primer.

Application and First Impressions

After moisturizing my face, I applied the ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Primer. Although the primer is marketed towards combination to dry skin, I'm curious to see how it performs on my oily skin.

The foundation applied smoothly. It has buildable coverage, and I used a Sigma flat kabuki brush for blending. I also used ColourPop’s hyaluronic creamy concealers (shades 175 and 170) for under-eye brightening and contouring.

I finished by spraying the ColourPop hydrating hyaluronic setting mist. It’s a very gentle, fine mist, perfect for setting the hydrating makeup look.

Nine-Hour Wear Test Results

I wore the foundation for approximately nine hours, engaging in various activities including washing my hair (which proved to be a challenge for keeping the makeup intact!).

Despite the sweat and activity, the foundation held up surprisingly well. There was some creasing around the eyes, as expected, but overall, the coverage remained consistent.

The foundation didn’t become excessively oily, maintaining a healthy glow throughout the day. It’s a really good hydrating foundation, and I was impressed with its longevity.

Conclusion and Final Thoughts

The ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation exceeded my expectations, especially considering my oily skin. The hydrating formula prevented a cakey look while maintaining good coverage for most of the day. The wear test showed impressive longevity.

The accompanying primer and setting mist worked well together to create a smooth, long-lasting base. The buildable coverage allowed for customization and the various shades offer a range of tones for different skin types.

Overall, this is a great product for those seeking a hydrating foundation that delivers lasting results. While some creasing occurred after extended wear, the performance was remarkable considering the heat and activity involved in my day.
