Availability and Initial Thoughts
Bite Beauty's Amuse Bouche lipsticks are now available at Sephora for VIB Rouge members. They will be available online on Sephora.com on February 23rd and in stores sometime in early March. I'm a huge Bite Beauty fan, especially their Buttercream lipstick line; my favorite shade is Caramel. These new Amuse Bouche lipsticks have generated a lot of excitement, similar to the hype surrounding NARS Audacious lipsticks.
The initial excitement stemmed from the limited color choices of previous lines. This new line offers a much wider variety, making it incredibly appealing. I was eager to try them out, especially given the matte finish without the usual drying effect.
Texture, Feel, and Longevity
These matte lipsticks are surprisingly comfortable. Unlike many matte formulas, they don't feel drying; in fact, they feel almost like a lip treatment. The luxurious texture and hydrating feel are a significant plus. I wore one shade (Honeycomb) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and it lasted remarkably well, even through eating and drinking.
Despite my currently dry, peeling lips, the lipstick didn’t accentuate any dryness or flakiness. The color stayed vibrant and didn’t fade noticeably. This impressive longevity and comfortable wear are standout features, especially for a matte lipstick.
Shades Purchased and Packaging
I purchased six shades out of the approximately 40 available. The packaging is Bite Beauty's signature style: a dark gray tube with a slip cover featuring lip illustrations. The shades I chose are: Sule (bubblegum pink), Sugar Cane, Meringue, Honeycomb (brown nude), Fig, and Tannin.

These shades offer a variety of options, from bold to everyday wear. The colors appear slightly different in person compared to the packaging, but the overall look and feel are beautiful.

Overall Impression and Conclusion
I'm incredibly impressed with the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks. The combination of luxurious texture, comfortable wear, and impressive longevity sets them apart. They are truly a treat for the lips and the variety of shades is impressive.

While the initial limited color selection was a drawback in previous lines, the Amuse Bouche range more than compensates. These lipsticks are a must-have for those seeking a high-quality, long-lasting matte lipstick that feels good on the lips. I highly recommend them!
